Inclined belt conveyors

Inclined belt conveyors are designed to move product from one level to another. Amek manufacture different types of belt conveyor dependent on application and customers requirement. 

Slider bed incline conveyors.

Using a sheet metal frame with rollers at either end. The belt slides across the solid metal frame, giving it the name Slider Bed. The steel bed makes for an inexpensive, quiet conveyor that is easy to install. A Slider Bed Conveyor is suitable for light to medium loads. Fitted with a grip face belt, Slider Bed Incline Conveyors can incline up to 30 degrees depending upon the products being conveyed. Note: product should not be stopped on inclined belts.

Mezzanine Conveyors

This type of inclined belt conveyor is ideal for taking product up and down from mezzanine floors. Using a braked motor or drum motor enabling product to be stopped on the belt if required. Flighted inclined belt conveyors

Normally based on the slider bed incline conveyor, PVC upstands are welded to the conveyor belt to help    support product been conveyed.  Higher angles are achievable on these types of belts rather than a standard grip top belt. Dependent on the size of the product and the height of the flight. Note product should not be stopped on inclined belts. This option is not to be used for manual loading

Due to the nature of incline applications customer must give thought to the products been transported, how the conveyor is to be loaded and maximum angles. As a conveyor module, Amek can manufacture belt conveyors to your dimensional specifications. However especially manually loaded / unloaded conveyors, provision must be made to manual handling detail, ie what the person can lift. Every application is different. A risk assessment must be carried out on an installed system, to ensure the overall process is safe, operators are trained and additional guarding mounted within the area. Thought must be given to product been conveyed and how the conveyor is to be used.
